This was our first time here and we all really loved it!! It's a nice speak-easy atmosphere in a cellar/basement, and it's very clean and refined inside. The service was great, and the food and drinks were delicious. The short rib bao buns were spectacular, and the charcuterie board was pretty and great. Overall, you can get a bunch of small plates to share and some high quality drinks, and enjoy a very nice and refined atmosphere. But just don't expect a full meal. Definitely recommend it!!

I’ve been here a few times and always enjoyed the food, drinks and atmosphere. However, tonight they defied my expectations with the most fantastic short rib. I’ve had a lot of short ribs but this was a culinary masterpiece the way all the flavors were paired together. I will definitely be trying to eat here again before it goes off the menu.

Came in here on Valentines day at night because the reservations we made at another restaurant was not able to be used to to having a young child. I made a reservation online thinking it was for tonight, but realized I made it for the following week. Regardless, upon arrival, the hostesses tried to accommodate us and walked around the establishment to see who would be leaving soon to try and squeeze us in. Unfortunately for us, no one was leaving sooner then 45 minutes. We thanked them for trying and left to find food quickly as our kid was getting hungry. We ended up findiing another place nearby to eat, but about 30 minutes into our meal, one of the Hostesses called my phone and told me they had a last minute cancelation and we could have it if we were still looking for a place to eat. Although we were already eating at another establishment, the gesture was greatly appreciated. I dont know any restaurants that have staff which would have done the same. I'd say that this establishment goes well above and beyond for their guests. The next time we are back in Lancaster, we are definitely going to make a reservation and eat here.

My friends and I had such a great time here! The food was good, fun cocktails, and the wine selection was amazing. The manager even spoke to me about one of the wines I wanted to sample. We will be returning for sure.

I absolutely enjoyed this place! However, the drinks need some work. Our drinks were not very tasty. They lacked unique flavor it was either pure alcohol or watered down. The food was absolutely amazing 👏🏼 they out sone themselves on the dishes and dining expirence! Staff was also great! We will return for sure!

First time here and the elegance of "Proof" is breathtaking. The succulent drink menu and picturesque platters are sure to win you over as well. We will definitely be back to sample more of their seemingly endless menu!

The atmosphere is very nice here. Medium sized venue under the street of Lancaster City. It is a upscale cocktail bar with excellent food. Nice for a date night or special occasion or even just a after work cocktail. I would recommend to anyone that appreciates some of the finer things. l and appreciates spending more to get more. Will definitely be back regularly.

BRAVO! This was my first visit to Proof. I am stunned. The entire visit was amazing! Everything from start to finish was 5 stars! Our server Casey was simply a delight with her attentiveness, knowledge of the menu and postivie attitude! She truly is a bright star! *tips hat* I ordered the Chicken Chasseur. It was divine! (STANDING OVATION to Chef Chris). The atmosphere of Proof is warm, inviting and upon descending the stairs leading from street level, you find yourself at the door where an atmospheric tone with a friendly nod welcomes you. And true to it's name, Proof, has a list of distinguished spirits and a list of wines from around the globe. For dessert I set my eyes on the Fig Leaf Olive Oil Cake. Impeccable! I learned that everything is made fresh and all veggies are locally sourced! Quite an evening at Proof and very much enjoyed. A second visit is in the works. Encore!!!

Absolutely fantastic birthday meal. Drinks were perfect. Bartenders know how to make old fashioneds. Oysters were fresh and well sourced. Entrees were creative and absolutely delicious. Server was attentive but not overwhelming. Really cool vibe and atmosphere. Looking forward to coming back!

I have no clue how this restaurant doesn’t have all 5 star reviews. Their oyster shucking and variety are the best in Lancaster, their wine list is extensive, their service is friendly and attentive, and the food is always good. It’s rare I find a place in Lancaster that delivers quality every time, but proof really always does it. Just recently had their risotto dish and, after freshly coming back from Italy, it took me right back. SO GOOD. If you’re looking for a place to read, or have a date night, this place has it all (even live jazz music on occasion).
